Washington, DC Recap

In my last post, I shared 23 goals. One goal was trying something new once a month and another was to travel. This past weekend I traveled to DC and Virginia… Let’s just say I am doing well with my goal list so far. Take a look at a few DC gems that I got to visit below:

Mimosa Salon

The beauty is in the name, right? Mimosa is a salon where you can indulge a manicure and pedicure while being served bottomless mimosas.

Sprinkles Cupcakes in Georgetown

There is a Sprinkles in Chicago, but, I have yet to visit (I know, I have a lot of exploring to do). The Lemon Blueberry cupcake is the best cupcake I’ve ever tasted.

The Park at 14th

Good food + good music = A great place to be.

Homestead

Cider Mimosa and French toast topped with whipped honey butter put a creative twist on traditional brunch.

Memorials and Monuments

They look even better at night!

The Portrait Museum

Obviously, the Michelle Obama portrait was the highlight of the museum.

The Hamilton

We told that all tables were reserved, but we were able to sit on the quiet upper floor. The food and service were excellent.

There is only so much one can squeeze into a day in a half, but this was a weekend well spent! Feel free to share your travel adventures with me.

Remember, you don’t have to fly in first class to travel with class,
